General
What is Moon Mods?
Moon Mods is an independent custom watch company specialising in bespoke builds, Moonswatch conversions and SEIKO-based pieces.
Each watch is individually assembled rather than mass-produced as a finished piece.
What is the difference between OEM and Aftermarket?
OEM builds use genuine components sourced from original donor watches.
Aftermarket builds use newly manufactured compatible components, including aftermarket components where specified.
Exact specifications and functions may differ between versions, so always refer to the individual product page.
Ordering & Customisation
How long does a build take?
Most builds take approximately 7–10 days to complete before shipping.
Complex, personalised or limited builds may require additional time. Any different estimated build period will be shown on the product page or communicated by our team.
Can I send you my own Moonswatch?
Yes. Select our Use Your Own Watch service. After ordering, our team will provide the appropriate workshop address and shipping instructions.
Once received, we complete the modification and ship the finished watch back to you.
Can you make something that isn't listed on the website?
In many cases, yes. Custom colours, painted hands, engravings, straps, cases and unique configurations may be available on request.
Contact our team with your idea and we can confirm what is possible.
Can I purchase individual parts?
Yes. Selected cases, bracelets, straps, DIY kits and individual components can be purchased separately. Availability varies between models.
Do you offer engraving?
Engraving is available for selected builds and components. Contact us before ordering if you require a personalised piece.
Shipping
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Moon Mods ships internationally to most countries. Available services and shipping prices are shown at checkout.
Where will my order ship from?
Moon Mods works through multiple international locations. Orders are assigned to the most appropriate location depending on destination, component availability and build requirements.
How long does shipping take?
Standard: approximately 5–12 business days.
DHL Express: approximately 3–7 business days.
Shipping estimates begin once your build has been completed and dispatched.
Will I receive tracking?
Yes. Tracking details are provided once your order has been dispatched.
Will I need to pay import duties or taxes?
Depending on your destination, your shipment may be subject to import duties, VAT or other customs charges determined by your local authorities.
Warranty & After-Sales
Do Moon Mods watches come with a warranty?
Eligible completed Moon Mods builds include a 12-month Moon Mods warranty.
Your first battery replacement or bracelet / strap sizing is also complimentary where applicable.
What happens if something goes wrong with my watch?
Contact our team with your order number, a description of the issue and photos or video where relevant.
We will assess the issue and advise the appropriate next step, which may include adjustment, repair, replacement or another suitable resolution.
Can you help after my warranty ends?
Yes. If your Moon Mods piece requires servicing, replacement components or assistance after the warranty period, contact our team and we will advise what support is available.
Can I swim with my watch?
Water resistance varies between builds and components. Do not assume a customised watch is suitable for swimming, showering or diving unless water resistance has been specifically confirmed for your watch.
Changes, Returns & Cancellations
Can I cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible.
Because most pieces are made or sourced specifically for each customer, change-of-mind cancellation may no longer be possible once components have been sourced or production has begun.
Can I change my specification after ordering?
Contact us immediately. If your build has not started, changes are generally easier to accommodate.
Once components have been sourced or assembly has begun, additional charges may apply or changes may no longer be possible.
Can I return a custom watch if I change my mind?
Because Moon Mods pieces are generally built, modified or sourced specifically for each order, change-of-mind returns are not normally available once sourcing or production has begun.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights applicable in your jurisdiction.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us promptly with your order number and clear photos or video showing the issue.
Our team will investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution. Please contact us before returning any item.
DIY Kits
What is a Moon Mods DIY Kit?
DIY Kits are designed for customers who want to perform the modification themselves.
The kit includes the components required for the selected build, together with the relevant tools or accessories specified on the product page.
Is the DIY Kit suitable for beginners?
The process is designed to be approachable, but watch assembly involves small and delicate components.
Follow the instructions carefully and work slowly. Damage caused during self-installation may not receive the same coverage as a build assembled by a Moon Mods watchmaker.
